Rise and shine off to Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s. Matt was most excited, and with a little persuasion, Carly and Remi joined us on our last Orlando adventure. 2nd-row parking short cut through bag check, and we raced for a FastPass to Tower of Terror. Remi, Zane and I adventured through many of the villages, lunch at a 50’s dinner where the old lady took my googler (phone).. yelled at me for having my arms on the table and gave us homework. Zane and Remi started off the day pretty cranky, and I think they have had enough of the crowds and lines on our 5th day. After lunch we went over to Mermaid and Rem said no rides, I don’t like them, so I snuck her in the Narnia ride and then met up with everyone else. They loved the Tower, and I was glad not to have to ride it.
We joined the parade of thousands piling into the stunt show… Lights Motors Action and ended up in the last row. The kids raided the snacks in my bag while I recorded as much as I could with the Canon. Good show, of course, the fire and loud noises scared Remi. Departing with 5,000 others, we went straight to Studio Backlot Tour for our 40-minute expedition behind the scenes. Remi posed for a few pouting pictures and once again… didn’t like it. Some pretzels and churro are then straight to Rock n Roller Coaster.. the Aerosmith ride which was cool with Steven Tyler being on Idol last night. Zane walked straight into the 48 inches sign and then up the fast pass lane we went. Kate kept asking if it goes upside down and I continued to change the subject and avoid the question. Zane seemed scared, but he jumped in the overhead bar came down, the green light flashed, and I yelled to keep your head back against the seat. Upside down we went super fun ride..my favorite from our trip. Zane, Kate, and Matt loved it and went right back in the FastPass child swap line with dad. Remi and I went shopping and met them at the exit.
Off to the pool was the goal. We heated up food in the room and then went down to the pool so the kids could enjoy the evening. Matt worked with Zane swimming and tried to teach him not to panic but to swim to the closest wall while Kate gave Rem piggy back rides to the waterfall. Remi and I came in first and then dueling hot showers and American Idol. Remi, Minnie and I enjoyed our time… then in came the storm troopers to join us.
It looks like Pittsburgh is getting hit with yet another storm, so we are hoping Southwest will bring us home on time tomorrow. Thinking ahead, we have no windshield wiper fluid or a scrapper in the car. This will be interesting. Must go and pack.
