So we finally finished our house shopping, a fun 12 months of searching for the perfect home, in the perfect neighborhood, easy to maintain and close to everything. I do think we did well and our new home will be a great place to raise our family.
We found a house about six months ago (we called it the pool house) and went back and forth on negotiating it before our house sold. We quickly ran out of time, made a final offer which was not accepted, so we decided to rent a home in Seven Fields and continue looking. After walking through every house (just about) in Pine Township, we found this home which was not on the market and under construction in English Farms right by North Park in Pine Township. What is great about this house is that although it is a spec we still got to make many decisions. We love the neighborhood which looks very kid friendly and close to everything. Joe, the builder, is just wonderful to work with and we appreciate his passion and attention to detail. He does a lot of the work himself and is very proud of his bathroom, which is coming along nicely. He does a marble/glass shower, all marble heated floors and like 14 shower heads/sprayers for 2. They just grouted the floor and shower today.
We decided to upgrade many things in the home adding all hard wood floors throughout, movie theater, full basement with kitchen, video camera’s, etc.. They just started laying the hard wood floors, and we are so happy with the decision. With dogs and kids, we picked a chocolate 3/4 inch distressed wood which we think will hold up well. I enjoyed going to MONT granite and selecting the slabs of granite for the kitchen and bathrooms.
Now we begin the financing process and hopefully closing the week of May 16th before my sister’s big wedding day. Everything is falling into place, and we are very blessed. More pictures to be posted soon as the start finishing everything.
