We finally closed on the new house May 31st. We were very nervous for the surprises based on the mortgage markets, but the closing was easier than buying a car. We were so relieved, especially because the movers moved us in that morning and we had yet to receive our occupancy permit. DCI Custom Homes built us an incredible home and are great! It is over a month later, and they are still finishing up, but we are so pleased with all the extras and help they have given us. We just set up Matt’s room last week, and he is thrilled to be on the lower level by himself and next to the movie theater, and he has his kitchen.
Everyone in English Farms is great, what a friendly and warm welcome. So many young families and kids everywhere. Our kids have made many new friends and enjoy playing in the neighborhood. English Farms is such a great neighborhood for young families, and we are thrilled to have found the right area to live.
I keep asking myself what my favorite is in the house and honestly I can’t come up with an answer. I just love the master shower but also love the patio fireplace and waterfall. We are so thankful and blessed to have found this house and pick everything we wanted along the way. Our builder is such a joy to work with, and we appreciate every little detail in the house. As soon as the dog invisible fence flags go down, I will take lots of pictures and post.
We had our summer vacation last week, a Staycation and it was great. The kids enjoyed riding bikes at North Park, playing lots of tennis, trip to Kennywood and Dave & Busters. The video is a quick clip from our day at Kennywood. Remi is spending the summer at Windwood Summer Camp, and the others are rotating different camps. Zane will have a big adventure in 2 weeks to Ligonier Camp which is two overnights, wahoooo is he excited. Of course, planning for the school year is approaching quickly, and we have lots of reading homework to catch up on.
The USTA has introduced Quick Start Tennis for kids 10 and under with an 18-foot net and 36-foot court. We just ordered our Quick Start Set up and excited to play tennis in the driveway soon! Zane has taken to the sport and started lessons with Brandon at Oxford this week. We couldn’t be happier, our favorite sport.
As we start getting back to normal, we continue to be thankful for everything we have, our family for the tremendous support, patience, guidance and love and our friends! We can’t wait to start having parties now that we are getting grass and getting rid of the construction dust.
