My first day back after a day off from exercise as we traveled to Delaware and I recovered from my first triathlon. After a great tennis clinic at Sea Colony this morning, I pulled the running shoes on and tackled the shore. That run made the asphalt feel easy. My 3 miles was tough as the waves chased me up the coast. I found myself hurtling sand castles and sprinting up on shore to not get my Asics wet, although they were filled with sand by the time I got off the beach. I am glad I got out today, I was thinking of many reasons not to. The first 1/2 mile was the hardest, and then I seemed to loosen up. I thought about my friend Christi a lot and hoped that she would share her amazing story someday. Now some more tennis and just possibly a nice glass of wine.
Tomorrow I look forward to a morning tennis clinic, some cycling, and my first Master’s Swim. I just love vacation!!!
